When it comes to discussions of the Bible, doctrine, and theology, it can be easy to hide behind big words, tradition, and ideologies. However, Jesus asked his people to go and tell his story with their voice and their actions. Theology, Doctrine, and the Bible are absolutely essential and they must be integrated into real life. This year we have taken our belief in God and his Scriptures and put them into practical realities that we pray God uses us to accomplish. These prayers aren’t to make our name great and they aren’t litmus tests to puff up egos or flunk us. These are prayers taking serious God’s call to go anywhere and everywhere and make disciples in his name loving God and loving everyone as ourselves. - For 100 people to enter the waters of Baptism at Missio Dei by the end of 2016.
- For everyone who calls our church home to be in a discipling relationship.

- For God to make us a multi-generational church that is filled with people from all ages and backgrounds.
- For God to make us a multi-ethnic congregation that is filled with people who have different skin colors, hair colors, accents, and languages.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth,
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
One holy Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
For Those We Love
Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that you are doing better things for them than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
For those who need continuing care
Look with mercy, O God our Father, on all persons who have become ill, weak, distressed or isolated. Provide for them homes of dignity and peace; give them understanding helpers, and the willingness to accept help; and increase their faith and their assurance of your love. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Our Enemies
O God, the Father of all, whose Son commanded us to love our enemies: Lead them and us from prejudice to truth; deliver them and us from hatred, cruelty, and revenge; and in your good time enable us all to stand reconciled before you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of Your Name. Amen.
Almighty God, have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen.
For the Care of Children
Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
For Those Who Live Alone
Almighty God, whose Son had nowhere to lay his head: Grant that those who live alone may not be lonely in their solitude, but that, following in his steps, they may find fulfillment in loving you and their neighbors; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For the Victims of Addiction
Blessed Lord, you ministered to all who came to you: Look with compassion upon all who, through addiction, have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy; remove from them the fears that beset them; strengthen them in the work of their recovery; and to those who care for them, give patient understanding and persevering love. Amen.
