Read More...Jonah proves to us that God relentlessly pursues those who belong to him. Jonah tried to flee the presence of the Lord but Lord followed. From this book we learn that just because we are done with God does not mean that he is done with us.

MADE:Portrait, July 21st at 4pm
Documentary and Editorial photographer Michael Friberg will lead a hands on exploration of what makes a great photographic portrait. All ages are invited regardless of photographic experience!
MADE:Portrait will be comprised of two parts:
Part 1: we will look at what makes a successful portrait and discuss our experience with the idea of portraiture in our own lives.
Part 2: we will pair up and head out around the church office space to make portraits of each other. After this, we will return to the space and look at
the portraits and discuss them.
What to bring? Smart phone with Instagram installed. If you don’t own a smart phone, don’t worry, I’m positive there will be enough for every pair
of photographers.
What not to bring: Any kind of fancy camera! This event is about portraits, not technical stuff! We can make great photos with any camera.

Prayer for Haiti
Every Sunday, we will meet weekly to pray about Haiti. We will meet at the grass area across from the Post Theater at 9:30 and pray for about an hour before church starts. We will be praying for specific requests from our friends there, for how to best serve them from here and for whatever else God places on our hearts. If you feel pulled to be involved or if you are just curious, please come. We do not know, nor do we pretend to know, what our role is to be with the
Haitian people, but right now we do know we are called to pray, so that’s what we will do. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Amanda Langemo at aalangemo@hotmail.com or Jessica Salazar at jessica@missiodeislc.com.
Reminder! There will be no corporate worship gathering at the Post Theater this Sunday. Instead, we will be camping out at Rockport from Friday to Sunday. If you can’t make it up for the whole weekend, feel free to come for a night or join us Sunday morning at 10:00 at the campground for our worship gathering.
Directions to Rockport:
Approximately 45 miles east of Salt Lake City. Take exit 155 from I-80 and travel five miles southeast on SR 32. When you stop at the pay station tell them you’re with Missio Dei at the Hawthorne Group Campsite and you won’t have to pay for parking.
