Colossians 2:16-23 (sermon audio)
We tend to distort our relationship with Jesus into religion. We turn his word into a set of rules demanded and rip it out of the context of relationship. In that, we create a checklist born out of our desire to justify ourselves. In Colossians, the Spirit calls us out of our rebellion and back to a relationship with Jesus.

Col 2:6-7; Jn 13:1-20 (sermon audio)
Often our questions lie in ‘how’ we serve. But as we explore the way Jesus served, our question in this sermon becomes ‘why’. Why do we serve? Is it to exalt ourselves or is it to proclaim Jesus Christ to those we serve? Are we putting ourselves on display in our service or are we obeying Jesus’ call to serve? Kyle explores these questions in this sermon.

Colossians 1:28 – 2:5 (sermon audio)
Jesus has called us to bring the good news of himself to our community and city. In our culture it becomes difficult to share our faith. We tend to hope that our actions alone will share the gospel so we shy away from proclaiming it with our mouths. But throughout Jesus’ life he allows both his words and actions to speak his love for and reign over creation.

Parent Speak
Within the English language there are thousands of different dialects. Some are rooted in location, “y’all”, while others with age, “gaga googoo” (no babies ever say that, but you get the point). Parent Speak is a time for parents to share struggles, dreams, hopes, and advice with others who speak the same language. We will spend time talking about how our kids are a part of the community and encouraging each other in the discipleship and raising of our children to be healthy followers of Jesus. More news from Holding Out HELP
HOH is seeing an incredible influx of people leaving the FLDS Community. As one former FLDS member said, “It is a living hell in here!” He has left with his entire family this last week along with his brother’s entire family. In addition, we have 2 young men in need of homes along with 3 more on their way to Utah. One of the boys is only 14 years old and his parents are bringing him down tomorrow.
Please keep these boys in your prayers along with HOH to be able to provide the resources needed for them to get back on their feet. In addition, spread the word of more support needed, especially a boys and girls group home.
If you are interested in serving Holding Out HELP by volunteering your time during the holidays and helping with their Christmas Sponsorship Program, please email jessicasalz0587@gmail.com
Ute Tailgate
Join us for another Ute Tailgate at our community space this Saturday at 1:30 PM. The Utes will play Arizona State. Feel free to bring your friends!
